But it says random people.  For all we know most of those gifts could of went to those super rich british people who enslave children and only feed the gruel... and not enough of it mind you.

Which from what i understand is about 80% of the english population.

The other 20% being said orphans.

@ kasz - so the rich share the enslaved children? 4 richies per slave? I hope the random presents distributed were more child slaves, because 1 per 4 is just not enough

That's the problem with socialism... not enough resources to go around for everyone to be rich bastards.

And I thought the problem was that it generally deteriorated to a state of too many slaves for the one rich bastard to control :P

I thought that was the problem of Capitalism.
