| Kyros said: As time progresses there is going to be alot more of these stories. The weird thing is that big firms firing thousands of people is pretty much insignificant for people employment. Companies not hiring people to replace people going into pension etc. pp or small companies firing one or two contributes much much more. As for MS firing people even if they make profit: They are a company. They have some responsibility for their workers and firing people just for fun doesn't do anything for loyality of employees. But in the end they make money. Keeping people employed even if you do not have work for them has been proven disastrous on and on again. Companies get bloated and die. And I know a few Microsoft employees the little bastards get much more money than other people (even in the same business) and they generally have an excellent academic history so you shouldn't feel too sorry for them. |
Considering that MS makes tons of money and despite it they have an appalling quality control, they could put more people on quality control and debugging, instead of always releasing betas and make paying customers debug them.
