its probably a choice, but it they posted if was a development decision they didn't explain why.
I think Insomniac have more problems then not allowing 2player to use the same characters or have another profile within the main account. They shipped a half finished game with tons of bugs and lag online, which i never received during the first game. By the time IG get around to fix this game, KZ2 will be out and no one will remember this game.
