Honestly, if they make a Wii MM game and don't make it special I will be completely done with this series. I haven't purchased the games in a long long long time but I have tried to play as many as I can, and it really stopped being fun ...well probably before I even stopped buying the games.

In short, I am willing to see if the Wii can revive this once great series, but I am not even holding my breath or anticipating anything but complete and utter failure, its sad but it's what I have come to expect from the series now.

Holy crap! I just checked a few of the Megaman articles on Wikipedia, and was pretty shocked by how many games there are.

First there was the original series that consisted of 8 games.

Then the Megaman X series of 13 games.

Then Megaman Legends with only 3 games.

Then Megaman Battle Network with a respectable 20 titles if you count the ones for cellphones etc, and "only" 14 if you just take into account the ones for the GBA, GC and DS.

Finally, there's also Megaman Zero with 4 games, Megaman ZX with 2, and Meganman Starforce with 1 game, but 3 different versions (list Pokemon).

I honestly care less about Capcom every day. -_-

If you don't care about Capcom, I feel sorry for you. They make fantastic original games, as well as sequels to their franchises. Dead Rising (frickin awesome), and Lost Planet are two great newer games. Plus, RE5 is gonna be killer.

Just kiss the tip.

Oh sure, I love Dead Rising and Lost Planet looks pretty nice. I'm somewhat pessimistic about RE5 though, because all the people who made the fourth one great, and now it's just the company that owns the rights to the franchise trying to copy the previous part. Devil May Cry is also suffering from the same problem, although took a turn for the better with number 3, and 4 shows some amount of promise. Oh, and I also adore Phoenix Wright, as well as everything by Clover.

So yeah I like a bunch of their games, but they really are some of the worst franchise milkers out there. I mean this is the Street Fighter company we're talking about here! =P

Imagine this :

Megaman Prime Wii :

Metroid Prime 3 shooting controls
Godfather Wii close range combat controls

But that would break the Megaman mold.

A mold which has apparently been cast in adamantine and guarded by genetically engineered super soldiers in Fort Knox.

I just love Megaman. Thanks god Wii won this poll, it will be interesting to play as Zero using Wiimote.

Btw, Wii's win doesn't mean that there won't be new MM games for DS. I heard Star Force 2 is in the development... It would be cool if they developed Megeaman Zero 5 though

True fighters don't wear socks.

I would also like to play a Mega Man game inspired by the Metroid Prime games.

Maybe Capcom would have the gusto to throw in a decent multiplayer that Retro refuses to but in Corruption. First person adventure my ass. It's first person and you are shooting.......... What games isn't there some level of exploration/adventure.

I will not buy another Metroid game if it is not like the superb Hunters for DS, with the same WiFi capabalities.

Everyone who buys the game is an enabler to the lazy asses at Retro who had a n entire extra year to "fine tune" the game that was supposed to launch with the Wii and Zelda. Extra bosses and better controls are great, but obviously an online multiplayer is what most fans of the game wanted. Remember us Nintendo, the people that actually wanted to buy the game.
