Forums - Sony - Reeves: SCEE not scaling down, game dev is investment, Sony not to cut R&D

Sony is about to let go 8000 employees worldwide, twice the amount of people Nintendo employs as a whole. But Reeves says SCEE's games and software development is an investment and Sony's global lay offs will not effect them. He believes in a recession people still want to be entertained, maybe something to get their minds off potential troubles for a while.

He thinks mostly big investments during economic lows like buying houses and new cars are far more problematic.
