That was the point of the handout. In America the bailout was given direectly to companies on the verge of failing. In Australia the money was given to consumers, who spend money to give more profits to the companies.

 

130k Wii's in a single month? I know that will get lost in the total figures, but for Australia that's huge

 

PS @ those who compared VGChartz to these figures, I believethe Australia region includes a few other countries, including New Zealand
