Huh? what?  Isn't the article sayin the parents were taking away his game because they refused to get it for him and he snuck out to get it anyway.  That sounds like good parents to me.  He went behind their back and bought a game they didn't want him to have and thus took it away from him.

Why they took it away, whether it was because:  They didn't like those games.  They were getting it for him for xmas.  OR just because he broke the rules and went out and bought it behind their backs.  It does not matter, either way they were being good parents and were not at fault at all.

I'm not saying crap like that doesn't happen outside the U.S but when you hear about these stories there almost always in the U.S ... I can think of at least 4 other situations like this.
