I recently bought an AOC 32" LCD 720p and hooked it to my Wii and PC and they both looked fantastic (especially the PC). Enjoy your purchase, ckmlb!

I'm also looking into buying a HDTV, but i'm not sure if i should go with a cheaper smaller 720p like ckmlb did and get a 40"+ 1080p TV in about 2 years when the price comes down. Or just get the big Tv now and make monthly payments.
@ckmlb how much did you pay for your TV and how would you rate it for playing games and movies, right now i have 37" SD TV and i want to know if i will notice a big difference before i drop some cash on a TV. And how do normal TV stations look on the HDTV. I heard they look like crap when switching from a SDTV to a HDTV if you don't have HD channels.

Welcome to the club :) Now your ps3 gaming will be sweet :)
How was 300 on BD... It's sweet :)
I like 1080i It's the max my sony bravia can do :)

The quality is great in my opinion. My PS3 games have all looked fantastic so far, still haven't tested everything though need to try out Motorstorm and Virtua Fighter and the Darkness (been playing other games lately). When I get my 360, I'll see how those games look in comparison, but I expect they will look awesome as well.
I haven't even gotten the right cables to make the Wii go to 480p yet but what games I've played since getting hte TV (Mario Strikers and Paper Mario on VC) look pretty much as I expected them to (as in good). Still will get those cables soon probably.
In regards to normal tv stations, I noticed it looks a little fuzzier but nothing to cause a problem. It's barely noticeable really, at least to me. So I think it does a good job with standard def, which I hear is a problem with some HD tvs.
300 was awesome. First hi def movie I bought to try it out on the tv and it looked stellar. The sound quality is pretty good too, nothing crazy but more than decent.
The tv does 720p/1080i but I usually have it on 720p.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
