I doubt I've ever bought a game because of the visuals of a single game. Actually I'd consider myself pretty shallow if I ever did that. Got to be more to such a pricey purchase than that.

last game i bought for graphics was turok 2 on the N64, i even bought the almost useless expansion ram with it, good thing i used the ram again for majora's mask.

I've never (at least I think) bought a system due to the graphics of an individual game.

Never. I look for good gameplay and ignore most everything else.

the Final Fantasy VII ad campaign in 1997 sucked me in.

None, really. Not the traditional graphic per se, anyway. What did get me interested most was Dead Rising and being able to have all those Zees on the screen, even if the models weren't the greatest.

But what actually pushed me to jump in was Mass Effect, and that was all story.
