Forums - General Discussion - People on VGChartz have low self-esteem?

I've seen people say things ala (and I quote)

"Well we are on a video game forum I expect most of the people here to have a low self esteem."

And such as that.

I can't understand that being correct. Most people here seem to have some pretty decent/good self-esteem. Is that just a fraud?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I dont. Im over confident and cocky, and arrogant apparently. The exact opposite!

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

The days of video games being for kids and obscure people are loooong gone. Everyone is a gamer now. No shame at all. WWE wrestlers, Rap/Rockstars, NBA Players, movie stars, sexy cops with Zapp Brannigan avatars, and people from all walks of life are proud to admit to being gamers.

We're just people who like talking about our hobby with other like minded people. No shame in that.

Me? Not at all. As a matter of fact, I am too self-secure. I have to work to not state how great I am at things and seem like a bragging bastard.

On a general basis, I tell one of my teachers he/she is in correct about something 3 times a day.

I can't imagine ever breaking down because my (future) GF breaks up with me or anything at all like that. May be that I haven't really entered the "insecure moron" fase of my life though :P (I doubt I will).
