If I were Sony, I'd try to get as profitable as possible, fast, and try to spin off some facts that will keep major game developers exclusive to the console. I would also try to design a "transition method" so that any people who bought the PS3 just for Blu-ray would be convinced to buy a game or two, increasing game sales.
