Forums - Sony - PSN needs more Playstation one classics!

I went on psn this morning and I actually saw some psone classics for the first time. I know its late and everything but I was disappointed. The only hot games there were Crash Bandicoot 1-3, Spyro, and Castlevania. Sony needs to step up and get more psone classics. Here are some games that need to be in the psone classics.

1) Legend of Dragoon

2) Final Fantasy VII

3) Smackdown 1

4) Smackdown 2: Know Your Role

5) Grand Turismo

6) Grand Turismo 2

Those are just some of the classics that need to be there!

What psone classics do you think need to be on the psn?

I agree. The PS1 had a ton of great games, but they just aren't there.

A few I would like to see

Alundra
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
Legend of Legaia
Brave fencer Musashi

there are other obvious ones such as Final Fantasy VII or Metal Gear Solid, or Xenogears that probably won't come (anything owned by square especially). But yeah, they really need to release some more PSX games.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I would love to see Final Fantasy VIII up there on the store and also the Abe's games

They need to put on better games. Damn!, they are just not giving effort in anything!

the EU and US PSN definitely needs updates. Cause the Japanese PSN has almost every PS1 RPG out.

TOMBA 2!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Sony has definitely dropped the ball in the classics area. The Japanese store easily trumps ours, as does the Hong Kong store. At least the selection of other downloadable games is very strong.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I think what Sony has to do is expand their variety of classic psone and ps2 games. Xbox Live has a huge variety of arcade and Nintendo has a loto of classics on the Wii Ware. It seems like playstation is falling behind in everything. Maybe the should come up with a separate library of classic playstation games. Something like WiiWare and Xbox live Arcade.

I want Xenogears.

What the psn needs is psn cards in europe, they would easily double or triple their sales...
