The PS3 will pass Cube LTD sales by early next year. Software sales and third party support are much better on the PS3 than they were on the Cube. If the PS3 does end in third it will probably still sell more than any second place system in any previous generation. It's a quite laughable comparison really.

Why would that prove anything? The Cube did decent enough in NA.

Cube started out slightly better than Ps3.
Cube stops up a bit, and Ps3 increases a fair amount.
Cube stops a tiny bit more, Ps3 increases even more.

third year was by far cubes best year. It evens out after year 3, the cube died after year 3. But I expect the PS3 to only strenghten.
But for now, the cube and PS3 are in the same area(except for others)
Oh, ya. the reason I expect the PS3 to strenghen, when the cube fell of the end of the earth is because the reason the cube did so well was its priced dropped to just $99 bucks. When the PS3 gets its price to about 250, it will do REALLY well, and even 299, could work wonders.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
