Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you own a HD console but not a HDTV?

I 360'd for a while on a high quality Sony 32" SDTV and it really wasn't that bad. HDTV is nicer, of course, but it was still an impressive improvement over the Wii and the PS2 at the time. I'm 1080P 42" now and on my projector.

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

I did until my TV died a couple months ago, the big difference I've noticed since upgrading is how bad the Wii looks with all those jaggy lines everywhere.

Yup, SDTV + PS3 in my case

I did for a while. I can deal with the bad quality, but it's the almost-unreadable text that drives me crazy.

I use my computer monitor which does 720p, but it's not widescreen

I did for a while.

Now I have two HDTVs.

Playing HD games on 480 isn't too horrible, unless you have to read teeny tiny text, then it gets very frustrating trying to read things. (Dead Rising, Condemned 2 and FEAR are the biggest culprits.)

We'll miss you George.

My friend has a PS3, but doesn't have an HDTV.
