I havent been on the net for a while and I didnt want to revive an old thread full of junk so I thought I would start fresh on a new thread with some new information about some stuff I got hard done by earlier.
I just stumbled upon this when I was looking at the VG chartz polls. I know that any poll made will only include a snipet of the total information making this data completly irrelevant but this poll of almost 3,000 people might indicate that I was at least on the right track with one of my speculations, that the wii kind of gets left out amongst the HD consoles (play time). I just thought its interesting data seeing as though my small circle of friends data wasnt good enough. So you guys can take from it what you will :) (It is interesting though to see that the console with the least market share gets played the most by the voters)
What platform do you game on the most? |
|||
| DS | 185 | 6.63% |
|
| PC | 192 | 6.88% |

| PS3 | 1,024 | 36.69% |
|
| PSP | 53 | 1.90% |
|
| Wii | 662 | 23.72% |

| XBOX 360 | 675 | 24.18% |

On a lighter note, some of you didn't understand why I called the PS3 and the 360 the "giants." I was referring to their actual size and power, not sales. :)
And new for this thread! I'm fully impressed with the 360 Christmas boom! I want to know any ones opinions on wether these are new gamers or x wii gamers moving up the tiers to HD graphics and new games. (based on malstroms concept of Hd gaming overshooting the market) But now its at a readily available price like the wii, it may no longer be overshooting anything and actually be attracting hoards of new gamers. But is there really enough new gamers around to explain these HUGE sales or are some jumping ship for new experiences?
If at first you don't succeed, you fail
