It's only my xbox I bought for DOA3 and NG

My mom bought me a ps1 because it was cheaper than n64 and the games were cheaper. Since then, I bought a ps2 because it could play my ps1 games and I was expecting a similar experience. Same for ps3.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

all my other consoles were bought for me without any input on my part

For me is:

Atari 2600 - Was curious about this E.T. game so bought one console used on eBay for £25.

SNES - Given to me as a gift with one of those "Game Doctors".

N64 - Super Mario 64 sealed the deal, as well as Banjo and Goldeneye.

GCN - Mario was top priority, everything else were afterthoughts.

Wii - Both Mario and Zelda are deciding factors, although RE4 was my first game.
