honestly, most people would tell you that gears 1 online is better than gears 2 online. maybe that could help
Gears of War (the original) is pretty damn fun on its own. I haven't played Gears 2 yet so I don't know if it gives any experiences that aren't in the sequel, but it's still a lot of fun.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

No, Gears of War is broken compared to the second one. The glitches are rediculous.

but i would say yeah you can get copies on ebay for like 15-20 dollars new in some cases and for that price it'll defintaley be worth a co-op play through with a buddy
Also do you mean for online or for the campaign?
Because the campaign is quite enjoyable. Berserkers alone make it worth playing.
