2D platforming is a larger niche category in gaming than level creation.

this game doesn't have to do both... it's up to the person who buys it.

i'm not crazy about level creation but so far i've had fun with the game.

i started the level creation tutorials but didn't really have the patience to finish them... not to mention that i've now forgotten everything that i "learned" in the tutorials.
