This is quite interesting. Mad Catz are making controllers for each system that provides an alternative layout for the analogue sticks to the respective official versions. So the PS3 version has the 360 layout and vice versa.

They look pretty nice in my opinion too as far as third party hardware goes.

I'd love to get it, except I have never gotten anything from MadCatz that wasn't crap and broke.

Very good point - I remember picking up a cheapy Mad Catz memory card for my PS1, thinking a memory card was a piece of simple technology I thought I'd have nothing to worry about, had all my hard earned GT/FFVII saves on it etc. Only for the blasted thing to stop being recognised.

Again...the 360 dpad looks like utter crap. When will these companies learn...

To be honest so does the one on the PS3 one (top one) 3rd party companies have horrible d-pads, the control sticks are usually ok, but not quite as good as 1st parties.... and often there is at least 1 button that breaks after about a month.

PS3 Dpad wont win any awards but it looks more confortable and accurate than 360s. The 360s looks like you will cut your hand on it...

But yeah, there have been a few controllers that were almost as good as the official ones...logitec made some amazing ones fo the ps2. However, mad katz is crap. They are making the new Street fighter 4 pads and joysticks too. God help us all...
