Forums - Microsoft - Warranty blows (MS screwed us over)

mine is from february 2006 so i'm out of warranty outside the RRoD.... but i'll try.... what's weird is technically work.... I have been thinking about the problem and can't see where it's coming from...... it reminds me when we had to blow on the nintendo game or in the nintendo to make them work.... just that time apparently dust is not the reason....
I mean what do you think.... ??? the hardware seem to be fine as it is reading.... and the software too as it's working after a longer or shorter while..... I don't see how mine could have a bug that nobody else has.... I wen t on the net and didn't find any report of a similar case.....

Turn up the heat in your living room, throw 360 in small contained space, leave it on and go to work..

Come back 8 hours later, enjoy the RRoD show, and call Microsoft

well it has been in confined space for 6 month (it's not anymore i moved) verticaly next to my open desktop tower (open for heat reason, I just have one fan lol :) ) and in a room smaller than a dorm for 1 person with no AC in south carolina... and a flat screen TV heating like crazy... knowing that my computer and TV are running 24/7... the average temp in the room was 100 F°...

lol i'm wondering if I have like a geneticaly modified by E.T.s XB 360 it's unbreakable by over heating and it has the weirdest and not reported (or not a lot) bug :) I should have bought a core on e bay with the RRoD before the extended warranty and just change de DVD drive

For the gold live card, I am unsure. I think 3 months?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Rocketpig,
I think you're being a bit harsh in my view.

And personally, being from a third party prospective, I think you look more like a douche for your harsh judgment.

Here is to hoping you have never, nor will ever, ask a question void of the complete full facts. Because you'll end up looking like a....well you get the point.

What did I say that was so harsh? That the guy should research something before typing a 500+ word rant on the subject?

That's not harsh, that's just common sense. If he honestly had questions about the warranty, he could have either done the research himself or asked a few simple questions. We would have been more than happy to steer him in the right direction.

You shouldn't make excuses for somoene who was just being lazy and bitchy.
