Which game did you find marginally impressive?

Cant remember the name now. a shooter like contra...2 words int he title...Last...something. It played well, looked great and controll was smooth. No variety tho...

I completely forgot about community games. I'm curious as well which ones are interesting to look at? I found a video of in the pit but unfortunately I can't dl the newest flash player on the computers here >

Anyone interested in making an XNA game?

FYI - You can actually download the XNA Game Studio v3 for free.
Uploading / debugging your game on your own 360 will require you to get a Creators' Club membership ($100 afaik), but you can wait for next year's Dream Build Play contest where they'll probably give away trial memberships (they did so this year).

If 360 is not your thing, the XNA Game Studio is still a nice SDK for the PC. Not as heavy duty as full blown DirectX SDK, but good enough to create games like those you see on XBLA (maybe more if you're good enough).

I haven't actually purchased any, seems kinda pointless if there's no achievements. I did play the trials for a few of them though, Lines and Word Soup are fun.
