Forums - General Discussion - MN Senate Race - Ballot Challenges are getting desperate

HAHAHHAHAHAA.

For the record, I have only done really wacky facial hair, not thin weak stuff like that. And I've only worn one lame necklace in my life, and it was in Japanese, which is more nerdy than hippie.

I think we should allow in UN Observers to our elections but, generally, Americans are extremely xenophobic and they will not let them in for fear of giving up their country to foreigners.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

The Lizard People one is awesome...you should be allowed to write-in whatever youw ant.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Well you can...it's just that the rules say if you mark a ballot for more than one candidate it is considered an overvote. However, I would personally think that failing to fill in the write-in bubble on the ballot would mean it fails to meet the overvote standard but apparently not =P

I think we would allow UN obversvers to come if they wanted to... (have we actually refused a request?)

I don't think they really have the time or resources to waste on a country so large with so few problems though.

I see the requesting of UN oversite... i've yet to see the UN actually agree to do it and the US refuse in these articles.

Like most people they probably just thought the people requesting it were crazy.

It's an open offer, any country can request it.

Yet they didn't show up... and i don't see any articles where people refused it.

What are you talking about? The federal government has to ask for UN assistance, and they should but don't.

I don't see where you're trying to go with this?
