   If the thread title says a console surges ahead of the competition, then that means a discussion of the competition is very relevant. If the title was the same as Bruce's article "The Xbox 360 surges ahead", then people bring up the Wii could be labeled as being sensitive.
    But, the title of this thread, already is inclusive of the competition, and as much as you may hate hearing about the competition, it does exist.

Nope.  According to the press releases, Microsoft reached 14 million accounts before Sony did.  Now, whether these accounts for MS are paid gold accounts, or just silver accounts, we don't know.  Same with the PS3 being that we have no idea how many of these accounts are actually used, and how many may be multiple accounts by the same user.

I think if they did a detailed look, Xbox Live would have more active and total single user accounts per person than the PSN.
