Forums - Gaming - Multi-Disc Final Fantasy XIII On 360 Looking Likely

I so hate getting of my butt to walk a few feet to change the disk every 10 hours. Man, that's annoying. I already switch the disk out every time I choose to play a different game, or turn on and off the system. How many times will I have to get off my butt SE?! How many times!!

"The content will be the same on both platforms," said Producer Yoshinori Kitase. "However, we have yet to determine how many discs will be required for the 360 version. We'll have to consider the differences between formats. Currently the game is being built on PC, where it's actually functional. We're still focusing on making it work on PS3, so it's difficult to know how long the process of taking it to 360 will take."

Well most of us knew this since the announcement...

By me:

Made with Blender + LuxRender
"Since you can´t understand ... there is no point to taking you seriously."

So 360 fans will have to spend 30 seconds swapping a disc at some point /or/ they can do a hard drive install.  Whereas PS3 fans will have a required 12 minute hard drive install.

I'd take the option to disc swap or hard drive install over the forced hard drive install.

Remember when PS3 fans joked about how 360 fans would have to spend 30 seconds swapping discs for MGS 4 and then they had to wait 5 minutes between chapters while MGS4 installed?  That was hilarious.

Why is multiple discs a problem all of a sudden?

It was never a problem in the past.
Ever played FFVII?
Taking 20 secondes to change a disc once in the 15-20 hours is nothing.

This. BluRay is a fun thing, but not this gen. installations are not what i like to have.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Im I the only one who got annoyed whenever Tales of Vesperia came in only 1 disc?

I guess its the game hoarder in me, but somehow if a game has more discs to me it feels like its worth more, or that its a greater quality.

Why? I guess its a thing since my PS1 days. But I look forward to this game being multidisc :)

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

absolutely!!

360 owners pay less money but had more discs, unlike ps3 games which much more expensive but only get one disc... poor ps3 owners.

Old news.

That is not a problem indeed, it is a new anti-360 / bitter-PS3 fanboy post.

Anyhow, those multi-disc games must be full of videos because when you install modern 360 games on the HDD (like it is autorized with the NXE), they take less than 6 gigs mostly... so ...

I'm not into crazy japanese games with full of FMV so no problem for me.

Anyhow, this is a problem the NXE-install feature has already fixed by the way..

Fanboys....

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

Oh man if FFXIII comes out on 3 blu rays I will be so fucking happy.
