I bought a PS3 for my wife along with Singstar PS3, 2 mics, and MGS4 (SingStar was the reason I justified it as she really wanted to play singstar!). MGS did nothing for me personally. Singstar's song selection has done nothing but piss me off immensely. Europe keeps getting decent releases while the U.S. song list each and every time they update is a bunch of "indie" stuff and other music that just isn't widely known. It is now my DVD player outside of a couple of games I have for it. :(

Is lips any good? The song selection on the base game seems pretty good but is the game OK? I've read reviews that talk about not having any unlocking and other issues but it is a casual game and a lot of the reviewers complaints seem to be aimed at the lack of things that rock band does -- i.e. touring, unlocking, and so on.

Gimmie your thoughts before I go blow another 70 bucks on rubbish if it is, in fact, full of lose.

the euro version has all kind's of win... the US version... not so much... as for the actual game play I couldn't tell you... I think maybe hit up Xbox.com forums and see if they have anything or try some of the review sites.
