MSFT has been adding loopholes to this warranty due to the unexpected number of failures and forced failures and it can be a real hassle waiting 3-6+ weeks to get your console back.

Aside from that, if there is conclusive proof that the consoles failure rate falls in the 3-5% range(the jaspers may very well come close to this range) I will urge every person I know that doesnt have one to buy one.  I may even buy a new one and sell my tainted refurbs.

Yeah, I call complete bullshit on that one.  Aside from the fact that everyone I know that has had a 360 die on them and has had a very smooth time and got it back in less than 3 weeks, I would love to see proof of that beyond fanboy forum posts.

Nope, its been 3 years and all the problems are still present, i will only get a 360 on boxing day for Fable II.

Well, I will say that the chances would increase infinitely for me if there was no RROD, because I'm not buying something that is known to fail so often as the 360 is. That's not to say they are very high, but it would certainly go up from zero.
