Reeves then went on to say that the PS3 has a bigger install base than the 360 in PAL territories, and that the install base gap will significantly increase in 2009.
I doubt, that bigger - is just 50k.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.

KZ2 1.00 version was ready since late october.

They were still working on some networking stuff at the time when I saw the game around. Feb. release seems ok, there are many more big games for that month too, aren't there?

expect 1000 thread about 360 being dead when ps3 price drops in europe.

like now what we have with SP3 being dead and gamecube like,,,it's like people forget that PS3 is the most expensive gaming hardware in the gaming history.



All great stuff.

honestly if god of war III , uncharted 2 and KZ2 release in the same year(without any delays),,I don't see how any gaming line up could compete with that,,,,it's just too good to be true.(that's my opinion btw)

Actually he was predicting a price cut for February to coincide with KZ2 yesterday on Steam.

Seems he was off by a month. :/

Suddenly the grim future of the PSP is starting to look a lot better. Motorstorm, Resistance, LBP, Dissidia, Agito...and I thought the handheld was dead!

I have to say I am seriously looking forward to hearing about Uncharted 2. I could care less about a new entry into the Jak series, Uncharted fucking pwns.

Also, if the rumors about the price cut are true (and it turns out to be a WW price cut), we should start seeing "360 is dead" threads back on the website by early April.
