I just got a Brand new Playstation Headset in the mail and for some reason when i try to register to the playstation 3 it just scans and scans and never picks it up. It really doesnt make sense to me. I have used a bluetooth headset before with my playstation but for some reason this one is not gettig picked up. Is this a common problem ? am i doing something wrong?

It's the Official PlayStation headset? Take the mini USB cable that came with it and plug it into both the ps3 and the back of the headset. It should sync itself from there.

I tried that. I tried to use two different cords. I tried to plug in on the base. The headset seems to be working fine. and yes its the official playstation headset.

Update...I keep on turning off my playstation 3 and then turning it back on and now for some reason it started to work. It registered as Wireless Headset

hey there i had the same problem and i called the future shop. and they helped me.

1. don't turn on your bluetooth.

2. press the start scanning

3. press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds and you will be fine .

got same problem..

Nvm fixed..I just had to keep power button pressed down 10 secs.

Oh, that blows.
