Forums - Gaming - No Sony Pictures on Xbox Netflix

One day before the launch of 360's new dashboard,Sony Pictures also known as Columbia Pictures has blocked its movies streeming on a 360.The movies are available for streeming on other devices.

That sucks. Though it's understandable. I'm kinda suprised if Netflix doesn't have an issue with that though, considering.

how many threads are there about this???? again i repeat myself BLU RAY FTW :)

It would be damaging to Sony if their movies appeared on there.

Why would Sony do something stupid like this? I would hope that Sony wouldn't strain a relationship with Netflix over a gaming console rivalry.

wasn't it netflix who signed an exclusivity agreement against sony?

@bubbles

That is slightly different example. windows being on a computer makes MS money. Sony movies on netflix does not make sony money, Mostly they get paid a flat rate per title, with slight changes based on popularity.

You're blowing this way out of proportion. It' a liscencing issue that affects two movies made by Sony-owned Columbia Pictures. Read the updated story on 1up.

I honestly have no idea, I haven't heard anything about this yet.  I was just basing my assumptions on what was stated in the OP (which contains no link for clarification).
