Just get the official headset or the SOCOM Confrontation bundle with the headset for $40. It's especially made for the PS3 with noise cancellation and a HD mode for games support it (SOCOM and R2 so far).

Don't get the Playstation Eye, The noise reduction is quite poor and u'll have to turn down your speakers/TV so that you don't hassle others. Get the official one.......like me :)

I got a wired usb mic from radio shack for $10. It works great to. Remember, PS3 is compatible with ANY comp mic
