Forums - Gaming - DW Gundam demo X360 Vs. PS3

So after beating both demo's 3 times back to back - The PS3 version looks way better than the X360 demo.

Not sure what this will mean for the final games....but if the demo's are any indication, the PS3 version is the one to get.

I really don't know why people like this stuff. This game is freaking pathetic... You just move forward and destroy hundreds idle enemy mechs... Few combos, weak graphics... I don't know maybe it's just not my cup of tea... 300k in Japan and Bandai is disappointed while this game is a total crap?

according to Gamerankings.com the Playstation Official Magazine UK has given it 5/10

Gundam and Dynasty Warrior games are meant for the Japanese audience and to some extent the Chinese gamers in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

yep, game sucks.

While I like Gundam, this game, no matter how I look at it, it's a repetitive (boring) game. (Especially the crappy 2D outer space)

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

I heard about this game and i thought it was a joke before i saw the screenshots then i wondered what type of person would buy this crap, this game will have such a low fanbase outside of Japan no one will buy it.

I'd rather choose between SARS and the bird flu than between the X360 and PS3 versions of this game.

Instead I'd pay money so we'd never have to see another Gundam or Dynasty Warriors game, let alone the two of them combined into one spectacularly awful game.

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

The game was originally built on the PS3 so the 360 version is a port (finally the 360 gets a crap port from the PS3)

I actually enjoyed the game but thats just me. And really the gundams look correct which is a plus.

I don't like Musou or Gundam games really. Especially the warrior games, of which this is one. I haven't played both versions, just the PS3 one and am so unimpressed that I couldn't put it into words.

I can, on the other hand, understand the fun of playing this game but it is just too straightforward for me. I still don't get how these gams are huge in Japan but better games in the genre are ignored largely (be they Japanese made or American) except maybe Devil May Cry...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Eh, I never really got into Gundam so needless to say I'm not interested in this. I'd prefer the actual Dynasty Warriors series, but even they get boring after a little while.
