So for $299 you get a console, 60 gig hard drive, Lego Indiana Jones, Kung fu panda...and Assasins Creed and Crackdown if you look at this weeks special link.

To old gamers that may look like an average deal but to new gamers thinking about buying a system, this looks very attractive I bet.

I must congradulate MS for being this aggressive and offering so much with their consoles...yet still making a profit last quarter.

Competition is good and I'm sure Sony will follow in offering more to gamers...since MS has them with their backs against the wall at this point.

Nintendo on the other hand...they may send you another free Wiimote jacket. :)

Pretty much. Sure you may not want Kung Fu Panda...but thats what trade ins are for. Not to mention the bigger hard drive and a price cut which kicked in less than 2 months ago.

Here in Australia I bought the 60gb 360/Lego/KungFu pack yesterday for $399 and it included Gears of War 2 as a "free" bonus game.

Damn...thats a good deal considering the currency exchange for the australian dollar.

Correct.

But I'm pretty sure Microsoft approached best buy for this promotion, not vice versa. As we all know Sony is currently selling less consoles in NA and no such deal is being offered by best buy or any other retailer since ther eis no initiative from sony.

Sony is doing a great deal too. Buy a PS3 at Wal-Mart and you'll get an $100 gift card and a free game below $30.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
