So I'm not very good at the technical stuff for Hdtv's and kinda need help in this. I'm looking for a dirt cheap, medium-sized decent Hdtv that won't break right away. Any sugestions??
I recommend spending as much as you can afford on a TV. And what is medium-sized to you?
If you are getting something 40" or over you are probably better off getting one with 1080p. If it is 32" or less you needn't worry about it. 120Hz is a great feature that makes the picture oh so much more beautiful and less jerky. But REALLY pay attention to the contrast ratio on your TV. It will be in the form of X:1. The higher the number X is, the better.
I have been completely ecstatic with this TV. Has not let me down in any way whatsoever, and I am about as picky as they come. The only downside is it is $1300:

The catch: the speakers don't work.
The super-catch: so the guy throws in a receiver and speakers to sweeten the deal! Ahahahaha!
Ouch 1300 is definitely too steep for me. I'm thinking more around the $300 mark. Medium size for me would be between 19"-27"
For that price and that size, Best Buy's store brand "Insignia" might be what you're looking for.
Used like Rubang suggested is always a good route. You can find some great deals, although there are a few more risks involved.
