Strangely enough, you praised two out of my latest three joke threads for being awesome and you even put "I am in love with an Austrian" in your signature afterwards. Then again, you do what psrock does, with the exception of sex. Yeah sorry, that was a low blow. (Uh, I hope that's not interpreted as pun.)

But anyway, I like where this thread is going, seems to become an incredible success.

But on the whole, your joke threads have been on the slippery slope to hell...  The two were a return to form, but this again is horribly done.

I think it's more or less assured at this point that anything Nintendo-branded is going to get loads of bad reviews, simply because the incumbent game review industry is starting to catch on that Nintendo's Blue Oceans are encroaching on their territory as well as developers' territory. And much like how computer gaming magazines initially slamming and then completely ignoring anything that came out on the NES, it won't make much (if any) difference for anybody who's actually likely to be looking at the games being torn apart in the first place.

I think it's actually moreso calling it like we see it, not some anti-Ninty, anti-Blue Ocean schtick that it may have.

I just go by past trends as they manifest themselves, DMeisterJ. I never said the events of the NES generation were perfect mirrors of the Wii generation. That's just a lens of possibility I view events from is all. I suppose, in retrospect, I should stop using language that implies certainty when doing that.

Actually, going by point 1, wouldn't that have caused the Mario franchise to have died entirely by about Super Mario World? Not like there's a huge amount of variety between SMB1, 3, and World, after all (2 being the odd duck no matter how you slice it). They all use the same basic gameplay and have the same general goals.
