I ended up picking it up this afternoon....

It is CoD4 moved to WWII. But, it is a good game... I'd give it 8.5 right now.

Same frustrations though (Playing through on veteran), Some long range targets you strafe don't fall then you get a little closer and they kill you, enemies spawn magically in locations, and grenades seem to come out of noware (In fact, I had a single enemy pinned and he was shooting and throwing grenades faster then a whole army could have.).

cod4 was simply too good the online is immense and world at war will be forgotten in a months time, whereas cod4 is still going strong heck still selling at full retail price its that good

It is a solid implementation of the CoD4 engine.  It is a little more colorful and the outdoor settings in the pacific are beautiful.  They changed the "traitor" rule of shooting your own men in the campaign, it doesn't happen any more.  But, one real annoying thing is that your men always seem to be getting in your way making it difficult to move at times where you really want to go and blocking a clean shot on enemies.  I haven't played multi-player yet.

All in all its really good, but it is not better then CoD4 to me.

does anything think they release this game on vets day cuz this might be the last cod WW2 game to honor the vets :o

i loved all the infinity war ones but didint like treyarchs cod3.... maybe this one will be better.
