From the top of my head the 3rd party exclusives (console exclusives +_-) I can think of are:

Left4dead

Mass Effect/ Mass Effect 2

Final Fantasy Versus

Star Ocean 4

 

That is pretty much all the games I can think of which are 3rd party and said console company does not own the IP. Of those listed, which do you think will remain exclusive? Left4Dead and Mass Effect franchise just looks a given to be multi-platform, EA have no reason to keep games exclusive so dont see why those 2 games would be special cases. SO4 also seems a given just looking at the 360 install base in Japan and demographics.

Now FF Versus, that one is very interesting to say the least. I think that one will actually stay exclusive if PS3 exclusive JRPG such as WKC sell well, IMO the decision will be made by looking at sales of that game. Of course there is FFXIII as well, if the 360 version sells huge numbers I see no reason why Versus will remain PS3 only. Apparently the director of the game Nomura is a Sony fanboy but Kitase is also one and could not keep FFXIII exclusive, what Wada says goes.

Left4dead i think they already confirmed it will not come to ps3.

The rest could go multi.

FF Vs is the only one I seeing stay an exlcusive. And L4D and ME are PC series as well.

Oh yeah we should really believe that announcement which was made at a MS event, they were SO going to announce the PS3 version over there.........-_-

Why PC games are considered exclusives?

For a GAMER, PC also exist as a gaming platform. Unless you are fanboy, there is no reason to consider every pc/x360 multiplatform game as x360 exclusive.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Left4dead - I have no idea, may be ported later on.

Mass Effect/ Mass Effect 2 - I think the ME franchise will stay exclusive

Final Fantasy Versus - could go multi. It depends on the sales of FF XIII on the PS3 and 360

Star Ocean 4 - will definately be ported to the PS3.

Left4dead. Probably not, running your own servers is expensive and Live pays for them.

Mass Effect/ Mass Effect 2. Definately not, Microsoft published the first so I suspect a deal is in effect.

Final Fantasy Versus: Possibly, though to be honest im waiting for the other "megaton"

Star Ocean 4: Not sure what kind of deal Microsoft has, though chances are it'll be out within a year.
