it's 360 fans who seem "desperate" for a MGS4 port...

tbh..i dont think you will find many who actually woud like to play the game.  people just want to see another meltdown like the one after the ff13 announcement and they think that will cause one.

And I agree with you Bubbles, and that's sad. It shouldn't be about meltdowns and who has a "better" game library. It's supposed to be about fun and being happy with your purchase regardless of what the guy across town thinks of your console - who cares. Just enjoy what's available. I stand by my statement though that I would rather PS3 and 360 keep all of their own exclusives. Multiplating games IMO ruined a lot of games this gen all because, (once again), it wasn't about making a game fun. It was just about making money which honestly the real losers are ALL of us in this case.

Actually, since about the days of the PS (mind you not blaming the PS here, just giving a time period) games have been about making money and nothing else.  Nothing.  If you can make a game sell without being fun then they will probably do it.  If you can exploit a movie license then do it.  If you can make a game sell because it's fun then do it.  Whatever the case, the end goal is to make money, not make something new, exciting, and or fun.  That is often just a by product.

I know that's super cynical to say and it's kind of shitty but that's just the way things are today.  We've seen a little bit of breaking away from that with PSN, XBL, WW, and the Wii but in general it's still a single-minded goal-- make money.

And as for multiplatforming ruining the industry, that's just silly.  I honestly don't think a game like FFXIII, GTAIV, or DMC was made any worse by going to the 360 along with the PS3 instead of just being an exclusive.  True, they probably could have exploited the PS3 further but in this way more people get to enjoy great games and they get to make more money.
