Forums - Sony - Where is LBP???

Am I the only one who can not locate a copy of LBP within 100 miles of their house?  I've been to at least 2 of every chain closest to me and none in stock.  I have called other locations and none in stock.  I was informed that locally Walmarts never got a shipment in for the delayed release but sold close to 50% of the "recalled" versions before pulled.   Best buy never got the 2nd fixed release shipment locally either.  So frustrated I didn't preorder online.

So basically what I am asking is:

1)  Is this happening widespread?

2) Is there a distribution issue due to the recall?

3)  to what extent is this constraining sales numbers?

My local Game Stop had one..... I think it's just that region your in that's having problems... but I don't know, just a guess

eb was out and frankly I hate that place.  They usually never have new games after release.

Another thing that is annoying me is checking store stock status online for retailers and it is consistently wrong.

Edit:  solved my own problem, ordered off amazon.

I bought mine at Best Buy, they had some left. Gamecrazy had some when I went there yesterday to preorder L4D. Perhaps I'm the aberration, but it's more likely that it's just your area that's low.

All I can say is VGChartz store!

My only option for new releases in my town is Wal-Mart and they never have anything I want. I went there on the LittleBigPlanet launch (post-recall) and they had tonnes of copies, for once I was pleasantly surprised. To answer your question, it appears to be widespread and largely caused by the recall but I haven't seen any problems in my area.

Buy Online.

there is something funny going on with LBP... I really think the recall has really messed up the release with sporadic numbers of copies turning up all over the place.

some places have them, some don't.some got them on time, some didn't receive any copies at all. which will reflect in week 1 sales...

[I received my copy 3 days late here in the UK when i pre-ordered it from Amazon with next day delivery. I don't think Amazon got enough copies in on day 1 for all pre-orders. that's pretty unusual.]

So not to revisit the topic or anything but, I went to 7-11 today for some hot dogs and they had copies of LBP and the WoW xpac.  When the heck did 7-11 sell games?
