Forums - Sony - nordlead gets a PS3, but needs help (media server)

I started a topic a while back regarding streaming with XBox 360.  It doesn't discuss the PS3 but the principles are the same gathering from the responses I read here so far.  You might want to check it out.

Use this instead of WMP:  http://www.twonkyvision.de/

It works seamlessly with the PS3.

I wouldn't pay 30 euros for that, as winamp works fine, and I'm sure WM11 will work fine too.

I'll check this out, as it looks like it actually addresses my issues unlike all the other help sites I've read. (none of them provide real trouble shooting, only simple setup instructions)

I'd prefer WM11 over winamp only because then I can view pictures,

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Glad its working! You've probably already figured out how to add folders, but for anyone else reading you right click winamp remote in the system tray, choose 'configuration' then you can just add whatever folders have media in them. Another feature I just remembered. You can make a username and log into the winamp remote website from any computer and stream stuff to it. It's pretty cool.

Honestly, I do not work for Winamp. I just like it.
