Forums - Sony - Can you ICS using a PS3?

Basically, I have a friend who recently got a PS3, however he doesn't have a broadband connection into his house. Instead, he runs his internet through a Vodafone 3G connection.

Question I'm asking is: Can you use a laptop with ICS to run a connection through to the PS3? I've tried setting up, but the connection between the laptop and the PS3 is always limited.

Do you think it's a hardware issue, ie - the PS3/cable/laptop broken, am I doing something wrong (I just set up a standard ICS connection through Windows), or does the PS3 plum not work with it?

And, before you start, I know that 3G is not exactly desirable, but he just wants to try it (he's stuck in a contract for a year - so no changing ISP), and if it sucks for gaming, he can still use the PS:Store, 'n' stuff.
