Buy in this order:

LittleBigPlanet-Renting(Dont think ill play this too long)
MGS4-Buy
Uncharted-renting
Valkyria Chronicles-Dont know much about it
Resistance 2-Buy
Heavenly Sword-Rent(when it drops to $30, it's length doesn't justify the price)

Then wait until Killzone 2 hits in February. :D

Oh boy KZ2 looks amazing,Maybe one of the few FPS i can really get into.

- Folklore (great story and music. I suggest you rent it unless you can find it for like $30)
- Valkyria Chronicles (if you like those type of games. Definitely amazing)
- Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
- Warhawk (once you get the hang of it, it begins very addicting. It's one of the best online games for the PS3.)
- Siren: Blood Curse (great horror game!)

As for MGS4, I suggest you rent it. The gameplay is very short.

I second Folklore; it's a very cool game, and one of only two PS3 games that I currently own.

Hates Nomura.

I was really surprised by how the beta pulled me in.  It's easily my favorite FPS on the ps3 so far.  Guys on neogaf are absolutely raving about the beta:

As for Folklore, I own the game, and it's really unique.  It's fun at first, but I found it kind've repetitive.  It certainly has an interesting style to it.

Once you remove all the cutscenes and codecs in the game, you'll just end up playing the game for like 5 hours. With the cutscenes included, the game is like 16 hours long, but you only end up playing 5 hours. As for the online, it's either a hate it or love it thing.

How'd I forget Ratchet & Clank? I'd put that right after Valkyria Chronicles on my list.

And if you're wondering about Valkyria Chronicles, head on over to the official thread, where you can find plenty of details about the game, as well as player impressions, like these from The_vagabond7:

This game is absurdly awesome. Best RPG this gen hands down (any kind of RPG). Despite the HD revolution few games have awed me graphically but this one I just stare at in disbelief. I love being able to go into the character tab and just look at the character models, rotate them, shift them ect. I spent an hour just looking at character models in disbelief that they were polygon models and not just a 2d hand drawing, it's gorgeous.

The gameplay is unlike anything else, it is a truly unique strategy RPG. I've never played anything with a combat system like this game has. It's engaging, it's deep, it fixes alot of problems that other SRPGs have (level grinding new characters for instance) but without sacrificing depth or challenge.

It is a truly fantastic game. Sega screws up alot, but they can still make a world class RPG. I can already tell this is going to be a classic like Skies of Arcadia. MUST BUY.

The online has awesome gameplay.  It's just the the log-in system, DLC, and server issues killed it.

Konami really F'ed up with MGO.  It's such an amazing game brought down by stupid and unnecessary regulations.

Gameplay isn't short...... but there is ALOT of cutscenes! ONE of the cutscenes are 90 minutes total.... Total time of ALL cutscenes is around 6 hours.... so when you see a cutscene, grab some food and watch the movie, unless your eager for gameplay, then just skip it the cutscene.

The total running time of the game is around 20 hours.
