I nice to finally see some respectable PS3 sales in Japan. Lets hope they can keep it up for awhile.

This is good news for the PS3. Yeah, it's not going to blaze past the Wii in total sales anytime soon, but it would be a good thing if the sales stay in the 5-digit range for awhile.

It may have not had a price cut, but it did have a free hd upgrade (40gb -> 80gb) as well as GTA5P thrown in as well at the same price that the 40gb w/no game at was. Or if you paid an extra $50 for the LBP PS3 bundle then you would get the 80gb hd, LBP game (instead of GTA5P) and also an extra DS3 controller (2 DS3's in total).
