*Smile* It's nice to see other 360 owners who have had little to no problems. Maybe it's time we took a stand and spoke as loudly as these individuals with the claimed multiple 360 failures.

Cute.

Funny, all of my other friends who I actually have real life interactions with who own a 360 do not experience these multiple failures.

I mean, considering how some tactlessly like to imply that the RROD is such an overwhelming phenomenon...I just figured I would witness more real life examples. That is all.

I also think the RROD scenario may have been exagerrated a little bit. As soon as some individuals witnessed the RROD maybe they immediately assumed the hardware was dead? I am not justifying the RROD...Microsoft should have exercised better quality control measures and judgement.

But the 360 catches a lot of flack for the same problems past consoles also experienced, but it's exageratted by a million it seems.

My launch hardware performed a RROD yet I presently still use that very same equipment to play Fable 2...used that same equipment to play Mass EFfect and Oblivion. I did not just assume the hardware was dead and send it back.

It's just hard to swallow the supposed testimonies of users whose posting history imply that maybe they have somewhat of an agenda.

Not so cute....

I worked at eb games for 4 years.. ive sold thousands of xbox 360s.....and i have never returned so many defective systems on any other system. (real life interactions)

I did not just run to a store and buy a new system. you ASSumed I did. My system froze every 5 secs and i was pissed for about an hour before i went to GS to sell. i tried to play 15 diferent games and all my CDs are perfect no way was it my disks. i know more abbout this then you do and all of us are smart enough to know that after an hour of tested 20 diferent games in my system and they all freeze that your system is defective... and yes it does seem like you are defending the RROD.

No pass console defective rate was as high as 33% as far as i know. (im talking popular systems nintendo, sony, sega) i know ps2 was a lot but thats because they sold a shit lot of systems. i will say it was not 33%.

You dont have to swallow anything im not asking you to. But to think that even tho a system with one of the highest defective rates ever does not get defective because yours has only gotten 1 RROD( lol) is foolish and i think im posting to a child.

I am sorry, I just do not buy it. You just appear to be one of the least objective members to trust concerning this issue.

It is nothing personal.

1) And you have worked at a game store for four years which clearly encompasses NUMEROUS gaming generations (I hope you detected the sarcasm). Cute how you assumed that would make you somehow more credible.

2) I'll entertain this notion that you have been fed by the media and the like and agree that the 360 had a  failure rate of 33%. Even if past consoles did have higher failure rates, it would not be easy to prove considering technology and communication among the masses was not as efficient and videogaming was not as prominnent. With the internet and other factors, lots of information is widely and readily available that was not available before. And your four years at a game store really would not be applicable to past generations.

3) Cute how you attempt to attack my character and imply that I am a child to somehow discredt my argumemt.

I graduated with honors from the Pennsylvania State University. Bachelors of Science in Finance with a concentration in accounting. I work for the structured finance group of one of the top four acconting firms in the world. Nice try though.

And I am not a fanboy, I just love to eat through faulty logic.

1. it does. you looked at your friends for real life interactions. i looked at thousands of customers...... you fail

2. i think it is pretty much fact that 360 has the highest defective rate if not in the 20 or so years in gaming it is in this gen. ITS A FACT that ps3 and Wii have better defective rates.

3. i know it was cute. Heres what i did. my xbox breaks i talk about it you flame my thread saying i work for Sony and this is just so i can increase sales of Sony because it is fairly open that i like sony and the ps3 better. You right your smart i had 5 xboxs YET i dont want others to buy it!!!!!! get a life.

4. what does your job have to do with your post? the fact is you think i have a hard on for sony so i posted here to discredit M$...... Thats what kids do. thats what i said you are acting like a child and you can be 100 years old and still act like a child. and the fact of the matter is i did not release a broken console.. M$ did so i did not need to discredit them... as they did the job for me..

Thanks for your time.....

i am quite happy that some people have great systems. i just hope on my 5th going that i will get one of them.

hahahha i have to laugh at you because i still dont see the point of claiming my system broke lol. childish... very kid like

@jcp234
and looking at your post history (all 54 of them....) it seems you are pro M$... so can i ASSUME that you are here trying to di some damage control?
Because that is or course how you looked at me.

Your vernacular, style of debating, posting history and content of what you communicate proves more than enough.

*Smile*

Like I said, it's nothing personal, you just do not seem very credible. When I do purchase my PS3, I really hope I do not suffer the same fate as you (Mad Fanboy Disease).

@jcp234
I'm on my 5th xbox, does that make me an ignorant sony fanboy?
Am I just making it up?

You say you eat through "faulty" logic, but your take on this is ignorant to say the least. There are sooooo many forums/posts of ppl going through multiple systems cause guess what?......it happens!! I had 2 disc drives burn out, one system that wouldnt read discs the day i got it back from microsoft, and (i swear im not making this one up) one system that RRoD overnight while it wasnt even on. Got up one morning and controller was unsynched and system RRoD on startup. Its awesome that RRoD hasnt happened to you, you really are lucky. BUt dont discredit other ppls testimonies just because you havent seen it happen.

One could make that conclusion; however, I just believe in balancing things. There is a massive following of PS3 supporters on this site who often just communicate things that are flat out wrong.

The very strong support for the PS3 on this site  is fine, but so many cheap shots are taken at the 360 and many times with very little merit. Rabid fanboys can support their system and still communicate with tact, logic and intelligence, but that doesn't seem to be the case. If the tables were turned and the PS3 was in the same position, I would defend the PS3. Any system that has released in the states starting with the Nintendo System (NES), I have owned (don't do portables).

There is no need for me to defend the PS3 (it has a strong following represented on this site), Wii sales and profits speak for themselves (no need to defend the Wii).....

Guys guys...Gears of War 2 comes out tomorrow. Lets not fight...unless we're fighting the locusts!

@dno
About ffxi, both of my disc drives that burnt out were while playing ffxi. I would reccommend playin on PC if possible. Thing about ffxi on 360 is the disc NEVER stops spinning, and im sure you know how time consuming ffxi can be so think about that disc drive just spinning all that time. I know it doesnt make since, because the game plays off the HDD but for some reason its programmed like that.
