As far as virtual world gaming is concerned, I hear Wii fans say their console gives them a near Virtual experience. Although I would say that it does so in a very primitive fashion that mainly has to do with how you can control games with the Wiimote. It is a far cry from the Virtual World as presented in television programs like Star Trek: The Next Generation with its holodeck where oftentimes the characters can lose themselves in other worlds like Sherlock Holmes' London for example. However, this morning at another website, I noticed a video of something that I had failed to pay much attention to while watching the election results on tv the other night. http://www.iheartchaos.com/2008/11/05/last-night-cnn-just-couldnt-stop-pimping-its-awesome-new-hologram-technology-i-heart-tech/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js6b31_p5cc I'm thinking that if they can do stuff like this now, then real virtual world gaming might actually become a reality one day and it might do so a bit sooner than later. What do you think?
