@Rubang
K i have come up with another reason. If they tried it, the Nazgul, on their winged beast could easily destroy them(especially the witch king). According to the text, the Nazgul die when the ring is destroyed( except for the Witch King)

"The accumulated filth of all their sex and murders will foam up about their waist and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"...

....and I'll look down and whisper  "no."

The Nazgul didn't even know where the ring was. They were all at the front gate to fight Aragorn and all the homies. Instead of Sam and Frodo sneaking in, the eagles could've snuck in right then.

Also, the Nazgul didn't have winged beasts for a really long time. Right after Gandalf killed their horses, the eagles could've busted over immediately.

This could go on for a while, so ill say that an epic plot like LotR cant escape having few openings for Deus-ex machinas. Its advisable for the reader to use their imaginations to answer these "why didnt that happen?" questions.

Also, the Eye was distracted at the time, thats why Frodo could sneak in, but without the diversion, the eagles would be spotted instantaneously, and appropriate countermeasures taken. The winged beasts arent gotten later, they are just stabled at Mordor. Also, it is clear that the eagles arent working all along the way with the team. Maybe they got moved to tears by those heroic Hobbits and said to themselves "Screw our policies. Lets get those little buggers home"

Hahaha, okay.  I can see that.  They do that all the time though.  I wish there was a deleted scene of them saying that.

Well if aliens exist, why would they travel all the way to earth and not even make contact....so that is my big thing that doesn't make sense...I believe there is other life in the universe, that would be ignorant not to think so, but i just do not think we have been visited by extraterrestrials.

Here's a quick rundown of SIGNS (damn you Goose!) Don't worry, I'll blank out the spoilers

Oh my goodness, we've been visited by aliens smart enough to travel through space and hover above us in cloaked ships but too stupid to operate a doorknob. But don't worry, God caused your brothers failed career, your wife's death, your son's asma and oh yeah, An alien massacre that kills untold thousands (if not millions), just so your son would survive and you'd get your faith back. Believe in god, he kills thousands of people with Aliens, but your kid lived, so he's compassionate.

well, I guess you could say that is the bitter athiest point of view.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

I'm an atheist, but I'm not bitter, but I am a film student. I have enjoyed films about faith, but Signs sucked. If I was bitter, I'd be clinging to guns and religion. It is my optimism that allows me to believe in nothing but myself.

I really liked Unbreakable, personally, and I think it's quite underrated (I don't even mind the ending). The Sixth Sense has the freshest rating of his films on the Tomatometer, with Signs in second.

As for The Happening, it's probably one of the most unusual movies I've seen. The atmosphere was so strange and surreal, I found it to be very unnerving throughout. And I mean that as a compliment. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It's actually his "lowest-rated" film, even lower than Lady In The Water, which is total bunk.

Yeah... I spent like a straight year making jokes about renting Unbreakable because it looked and sounded like it'd be such a bad movie...

but it turned out to be a good movie.

Not saying I believe we have been visited by ETs, but think about what you said for a second... You are making baseless assumptions about the thought processes of an alien mind.

Have you ever been caught completely off guard by what another human did or thought? An alien mind multiplies this uncertainty factor by yet another one, making any of our assumptions useless.

Ok Strategy King, what's the bitter Christian's explanation of Sign's plot and message?
