The music is worse, I know, but everything else is just so much better.  Also, I only really enjoy portable RPG's anymore.

And the tiny screen really doesn't bother me that much.  I can still see the wonderful detail in the sprites and painted backgrounds.

The GBA version also gets point for most people being able to play it.

@Bolded- What is that?

 

 

Something not quite legal.  If they game hadn't been recently remade for the GBA I probably wouldn't care but since the game is current again then using the rom is bad again.

If you have a PS3, PS2, PS, DS, or GBA you can play this masterpiece of gaming legally and for cheap (I don't list SNES because that version usually isn't cheap).

I plan to get a DS REAL soon, and when i do what version should i get the leget way then? PlayStation version or DS Version? (I Would play the PlayStation version on my good ol' PS2 Slim, PS3 is met exclusively for HD games for me lol.)

Between the GBA (which is the one you'd play in a DS) and PS versions, the GBA is much better. But the PS version also includes FFV. So it's your choice

The GBA version (which you can play on the DS) is much better.  The PS version is so bad because of the terrible loading times (even on a PS2, never tried on my PS3) and should only be bought as a last resort.

And people (like me) bitch and moan about the quality of music, but understand that even on the GBA the music is still incredible.  The game has one of the most epic ending scores ever.

Also, FFV isn't really that good.  I would only waste my time if you want to say you've played every Final Fantasy.

Ouch, tough call then if the PS version includes V, then thats a nice extra...thanks man i'll look into it.

I didn't think the Vii was powerful enough to play Final Fantasy (I).  I might have to order one of those Chintendo Vii's I guess.
