Exclusively for GBA or...?

I know this has probably been said before, but why must every thread that has Final Fantasy in it become one on which one is the best? How many posts are actualy talking about FFVII here? By God, people!
Well, ontopic: No matter what people tell you, the game is good. Some people will tell you that it's an overrated piece of shit and others will tell you it`s the BEST EVAAAHH!!11, and they're all biased either way. I advise you to play the game and forget what other people are saying. If you enjoyed CC's story, chances are you'll enjoy FVII's.
Anyway what part are you in the game?

i played and finished when it came out whenever it was out. not that i'm interested in playing it again, i dont think the graphics would turn me off that much. i'm playing ff... something on the ds right now, so the graphics can't be much worse.

Final Fantasy 7 is a great rpg that has become overrated over the years because of the fact that it was the first 3D entry in the franchise (which by the way, looked like crap when FF8 rolled around 2 years later).

To be honest, whilst I think it's a great game, I think it would have been "just another entry" in the series had it not been the first 3D game, the story is complex(ish), but the characters are pretty one dimensional. Still you'll find yourself caring about them, and if you enjoy JRPG's in general, this is just another great one in the history of the genre. It's just no where near the best, is all.

There are three legit version of FFVI, here they are in the order from most awesome to least awesome:

1. FFVI Advance (GBA) - Easily the best version.  While the music has been dumbed down from the PS and SNES versions due to the shitty GBA sound system, it has the correct translation, some extra content, and slightly increased difficulty.  This is the version you want to get if you can.
2. FFVI (SNES) - The original doesn't always have the best translation and you have either have to have Sprint Shoes or hold down the A button the whole game to run but it's still damn awesome. 
   
3. FF Anthologies (PS) - The only things this version adds are alright cut scenes and very long load times for everything.  The load times are really infuriating so only get this version if you can't get any of the either two.  Of course the game is still awesome even with the load times.
   

Something not quite legal.  If the game hadn't been recently remade for the GBA I probably wouldn't care but since the game is current again then using the rom is bad again.

If you have a PS3, PS2, PS, DS, or GBA you can play this masterpiece of gaming legally and for cheap (I don't list SNES because that version usually isn't cheap).
