  Décidément bien agressif en ces fêtes de fin d'année, Microsoft intensifie sa politique d'initiative tarifaire sur les offres Xbox avec une nouvelle ristourne, qui prendra effet à partir de ce vendredi. Pour tout achat d'une Xbox 360, ou d'un bundle quelconque comprenant la console et un jeu, le constructeur américain s'engage à rembourser 40€ sur simple demande. Il suffit de retourner ce coupon dûment completé, accompagné d'une preuve d'achat (code barre + ticket de caisse) et d'un RIB. Les possesseurs de la console, eux, auront jusqu'au 31 décembre pour se rabattre sur les accessoires, qui seront partiellement remboursés lors du passage en caisse, pour l'achat de FIFA 09, Fable II, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty : World at War, "et bien d'autres" nous dit-on. Enfin, le prix du bundle "Xbox 360 Premium + disque dur de 60 Go + Gears of War 2" sera mis en vente en fin de semaine pour 269€. Voilà qui devrait aider quelques indécis à franchir le pas.

Simply return the duly completed coupon along with proof of purchase (bar code + cash) and a RIB. The owners of the console, they have until Dec. 31 to fall back on accessories, which will be partially reimbursed when moving cash to purchase FIFA 09, Fable II, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty : World at War, "and many others" we are told. Desperate haha. MS really going full out right now to try and beat the PS3. Would suck if all the losses they'll get from it were to be in vein.

@zucas: it's been microsoft making money all this past year and sony's bleeding it. Just sayin'.

MS is just kicking Sony when they are down.

In case anybody pays attention, Sonys gaming division posted a $400 million loss and MS posted a $160 million profit from july-september.

I think they really want that lead back in Europe!

@ ghost, not really a big deal seeing the Xbox and 360 have cost MS over 5 billion in losses between the failed xbox and RROD repairs. and sony is still making loot over the PS2 8 years later lol.

Great for Euro gamers, innit?

- Xbox brand lost 5 billion between 2 consoles. PS3 alone lost $4 billion, and im sure that number is been on the rise.

- XBox last gen came in 2nd place, it beat the Gamecube. So i wouldnt call it "failed".

- Sony lost $400 million from july-september on everything, including PS2, PSP, and PS3. So even with PS2 and PSP, the massive losses of PS3 was still too great.

Imagine the losses if SOny just included the Ps3 lol.

P.S - if you call the 2nd place Xbox of last generation a failure, you must really think the 3rd place PS3 is a total embarassment lol.
