Make some noise!

jk, my ps3 has recently been making fan noise when playing some games. It sits in an entertainment center, is it getting too hot? It has always been dead silent but recently has been making the sound during lbp and gta. During LBP was the first time. I think it was because of the loading on the servers and such.

EDIT: is this normal?

Ive been playing a bit of LBP, not heard anything unusual and my ps3 sits in an entertainment cabinet(open back and front), altho Online play for LBP is a bit laggy atm maybe because the wave of Europeans just getting the game this week.

Ill check tonight to see if i can hear any fan noises. usually its whisper quiet and i can only hear the BR-Drive a little when loading a game.

No, I'm talking 360 fan noise. The back of my entertainment center is closed though so maybe that is it? Also it stands on it's side whereas it used to sit flat.

it's getting hot, and the fan its working harder.

try to get it into a colder place and see if happens.

Mine is sitting flat, so maybe one of the fans bearings are a little off and only heard when on its side. Trying sit it flat again to see if u still get that noise

It might be dusty

This happened to me only twice. The first time is when I started playing Haze for the first time, and second time is when I started playing Fifa 09.
