Forums - Microsoft - Banjo Kazooie Eurogamer Review: NO PLATFORMING

This isn't a platform game, then. You can eke out hidden extras on-foot in the hub world, Showdown Town, but this is a driving, flying and boating game, with almost no player death or hairy jumps to worry about. You are collecting 131 jigsaw pieces (jiggies) - in much the same framework as Mario gathering stars - but every task begins by asking you to select or build a vehicle to fit the brief. You're never let loose on foot and then given the choice, and if you were, you wouldn't enjoy it, because the vast, ornately detailed openworld level environments would take several minutes to cross, and their thick bridges, riverbeds, hills, pathways, iceflows and buildings are impractical for platforming.

Got a 7/10.

Yeah, which is the sole reason I won't be playing it. I wanted another Banjo Platformer.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

the demo had a fair amount of platforming things...so i cant see how the rest of the game wouldnt have any.

No biggie, reviewers are individuals. If he didnt like it, that's OK by me. I will still enjoy it as will many others. I had a lot of fun with the Demo!

Eurogamer are idiots.

Why not put the score in there too? It wasn't a bad score 7/10 for those too lazy to click on the review.

I kinda expected it to get lambasted by a few places (even though this wasn't that bad) but we'll see as more reviews come in.

Completed X360:
High Def Movie Collection

wow. that sounds pretty boring

7/10 is pretty decent score for someone that didn't like the game.

the game is 34.99 on Amazon. I get 10 dollars off orders over 40. Considering the demo is quite fun, I'd be stupid not to get this

lol at all the people that were hyping this game.

Exactly. Play the demo and then,if you like the game, buy it. The game and console are cheap,so you`ll not regret it. My 2 cents.
